Clohars-carnoêt, le Pouldu, Doélan heres villages ; three villages united by three characteristics; sea, countryside and forest; situated on the banks of three rivers in the region of artist and painters.
The excellent geographic situation combining invigorating Atlantic sea air, relaxing forest and countryside offers a multitude of activities: horseriding (200m from campsite), mountain bike trails (marked paths in proximity to campsite), tennis ( 2km from campsite). Various team sports (organised matches on the beaches) for the athletic vistor. Pouldu sailing club, GUIDEL surf club, canoes and kayaks for hire for watersports fans.
For walkers and ramblers many marked forest (fitness trail and country paths and sunken lanes). Of particular interest are the paths along the wooded banks of the Laita river, and the coastal paths (passing beaches, creeks, cliffs and picturesque ports).
After a full day! Treat yourself, the variety and quality of Breton cuisine cannot be beaten. Who can resist a fresh seafood platter wich Belon oysters, shrimps, prawns, lobster and crabs. You can also try traditionnal savoury buck-wheat pancakes sweet pancakes with local cider, salted butter, prune far (Breton cake) and "kouign aman".
Breton heritage offers many remarkable monuments and sites to visit: churches, chapels, abbeys, windmills, menhirs.
Without forgetting the traditional summer festivals, village fêtes, folk festivals like the Interceltic festival, Lorient (first week of august, the rock festival "des vieilles charrues"! Carhaix (mid july), the folk festival "cornouaille" Quimper (mid july)
